UCLA’s Leroux named to MVP first team

Dec. 22, 2010
LOS ANGELES - UCLA forward Sydney Leroux was named one of the top 11 women's soccer players in the country according to one of the sport's leading publications on Wednesday, as she was selected as a First-Team MVP by Soccer America.
Leroux, a junior from Vancouver, British Columbia, led UCLA in scoring in 2010, ending the season with 27 points on 13 goals and one assist. She also led the team in game-winning goals with six. It marks the second time that she has been named to Soccer America's MVP Team, as she was a second-team selection a year ago.
Leroux was also chosen as a third-team NSCAA All-American and a first-team All-Pac-10 selection in 2010 as well.
