TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona softball players Hallie Wilson and Chelsea Goodacre were named to the All-Pac-12 first team by the conference on Wednesday.

Five other Wildcats also were honored by the Pac-12, as Brigette Del Ponte, Lauren Young, Kelsey Rodriguez and Mandie Perez were honorable-mention selections -- Young and Perez were named to the all-freshman team -- while Nancy Bowling received an honorable-mention nod to the all-freshman squad.

For sophomores Wilson and Goodacre, the first-team recognition was a first; Wilson was named to the All-Pac-12 second team as a freshman. Wilson and Goodacre lead the team with batting averages of .371 and .343, respectively. Goodacre’s 17 home runs and 58 runs batted in are most on the team entering the NCAA tournament.

Del Ponte has received all-conference recognition in all four of her seasons in Tucson. A first-team selection as a sophomore and a second-team member as a freshman and junior, Del Ponte is batting .247 with six home runs and 32 RBIs on the year.
