UA Sports Hall announces 2012 inductees

TUCSON - The University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee has selected seven individuals and two NCAA Championship teams for induction into the University of Arizona Sports Hall of Fame. The induction ceremony will take place on Friday, Nov. 9, and the new inductees will participate in the Homecoming parade and be recognized at halftime of Arizona's Homecoming football game on Saturday, Nov. 10.
The inductees are:
Track and field decathlete Robert "Jake" Arnold, 2002-07
UA athletic events and facilities coordinator Clarence L. "Stub" Ashcraft, 1947-82
Gymnast Jenna Karadbil, 1991-95
Men's golf and water polo coach Rick LaRose, 1973-2012
Softball outfielder Caitlin Lowe, 2003-07
Women's swimmer Whitney Myers, 2003-07
Men's swimmer Adam Ritter, 2003-07
2006 NCAA champion men's swimming 800 freestyle relay team of Simon Burnett, Lyndon Ferns, Tyler DeBerry and Adam Ritter
2012 NCAA champion baseball team
