Twins place Samuel Deduno, Wilkin Ramirez on DL

The Minnesota Twins placed pitcher Samuel Deduno on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder soreness and outfielder Wilkin Ramirez on the 15-day disabled list with a fractured left tibia, the team announced Friday. Ramirez fouled a ball of his leg in the fifth inning of Thursday's game against the Kansas City Royals.
To replace Deduno and Ramirez on the 25-man roster, the Twins recalled left-handed pitcher Pedro Hernandez from Double-A New Britain and outfielder Darin Mastroianni from Triple-A Rochester.
Hernandez went 3-3 with a 3.66 ERA in 12 appearances (10 starts) this season between the GCL Twins, Double-A New Britain and Triple-A Rochester. He has a record of 3-1 with a 5.54 ERA in nine appearances for the Twins this season.
Mastroianni, who started the season with the Twins, missed 106 games with a stress reaction in his left ankle. After a rehab assignment, he was optioned to Triple-A where he hit .333 (12-for-36) in 11 games for the Red Wings.
