Florida State men's basketball players will honor Native American Heritage Month by wearing special turquoise Nike uniforms.
The Seminoles will wear the Nike N7 uniforms for Sunday's home game against Tennessee Martin at 2 p.m.
Nevada, Oregon State and New Mexico will also wear the uniforms in honor of Native American Heritage Month.
The goal of the November basketball games is to create even greater awareness -- both inside and outside Native communities -- for the need to inspire all youth to lead physically active lifestyles and be a force for positive change in generations to come. The turquoise color of the uniforms is also deeply symbolic of friendship and community in Native American culture.
