LAUSANNE, Switzerland (AP) A Turkish boxer has been provisionally suspended after his doping sample from the 2012 London Olympics came back positive in retesting.

The International Boxing Association said Adem Kilicci tested positive for steroids. The fighter and the Turkish boxing federation have been notified of the findings and his suspension.

Kilici lost in the quarterfinals of the 75-kilogram division in London.

The IOC has retested stored samples from London and the 2008 Beijing Games, targeting athletes who could compete in this year's Rio de Janeiro Olympics. AIBA said Kilici had qualified for Rio.

AIBA said it is working with the World Anti-Doping Agency ''to ensure that boxing is doping free.''

The IOC reported last week that it had recorded 23 positives from London and 32 from Beijing.

Also, a Russian track cyclist has been suspended. The International Cycling Union said Yekaterina Gnidenko was suspended after failing a doping test on a sample taken shortly before the 2012 London Olympics, though it was not immediately clear if this was part of the IOC retesting program.

Gnidenko competed in the women's sprint and keirin at the 2012 Games without winning a medal, though she now faces being stripped of her silver medal from the European championships later that year.

The UCI said Gnidenko tested positive for steroids and has been provisionally suspended pending a decision on her case.

The Russian Olympic Committee said eight of its athletes were among the 23 positives from London identified by the IOC.
