The University of Florida men's basketball team's game with Fairfield, scheduled for Tuesday evening, has been canceled due to travel complications for Fairfield. The game will not be made up.
The heavy snow and airport closures impacted Fairfield's ability to make the trip to Gainesville.
"We're certainly disappointed for our fans that the game had to be canceled but it wasn't for any lack of effort from Fairfield trying to get here, it was conditions that were out of everyone's hands," said Florida head coach Billy Donovan. "(Fairfield coach) Ed Cooley is a good friend, and I know they tried everything possible to get here and it just didn't work out."
All season and single game ticket purchasers will receive an automatic full refund of their tickets purchased for this game as no make up date is scheduled.
