Tuberville talks about potential UC-Alabama matchup

A few weeks after a report Cincinnati could open the renovated Nippert Stadium with a visit from Alabama, the head coach of the Bearcats told a Birmingham radio station there could be some complications.
"I'm in charge of our schedule right now, so, I'm out there trying to find teams to play," Tuberville told 94.5 FM in Birmingham (via AL.com). "Now would I be really fired up about (playing Alabama)? Probably not because it'd be a one-game match."
Tuberville explained Cincinnati is in a tough situation in which it needs to play tough competition outside the AAC, but getting major-conference teams to agree to a home-and-home series can be easier said than done.
While Alabama is a pretty good measuring stick for any program these days, Tuberville is particularly familiar with the Crimson Tide after he spent 10 years as head coach at archrival Auburn.
The Cincinnati Enquirer reported last month UC has had discussions about bringing in an SEC team to be the first opponent for the 2015 home schedule, which will feature the return to Nippert after a year-long renovation. The Bearcats will play home games this season at Paul Brown Stadium on the riverfront.
