#2 Are the 'Skins and 'Boys about to become the Yanks?
Former NFL commissioner Pete Rozelle ushered in the word "parity" into the NFL lexicon, and the balance of power has allowed for 22 teams to play in the Super Bowl since free-agency hit the NFL in 1994.
But with the NFL owners and players staging a high-stakes staring contest over their next labor deal, the league is poised to toss its salary cap in the closet this offseason ... possibly for good, if you believe the players union.
Without a cap, will that pave the way for big-bucks big shots like the Redskins' Daniel Snyder (left) and Cowboys' Jerry Jones to try to buy a Super Bowl title? Who knows if the Steinbrenner approach would work in the NFL anyway, but we may find out.
