To Honor and Serve wins Pennsylvania Derby

To Honor and Serve took the lead midway around the far turn and went on to win the $1 million Pennsylvania Derby by 21/4 lengths over a field of eight rivals Saturday.
The 3-year-old colt, who missed the Triple Crown races with a minor ligament problem, went to the post as the 8-5 favorite with jockey Jose Lezcano aboard. The win was the fifth in nine career races and raised his earnings above the $1 million mark for Charlotte Weber's Live Oak Plantation at Ocala, Fla.
Ruler on Ice, the Belmont winner, took second took second with Rattlesnake Bridge finishing third.
