'Tis the season for fantastic finishes in high school football

A football finish got funky in North Carolina on Friday night.
Per Maxpreps.com, Bunker Hill was trailing St. Stephens, 50-49, and had just turned the ball over on downs in the final minute.
As St. Stephens huddled, Bunker Hill coach Travis Conner called for his defense to come off the field.
St. Stephens quarterback Spencer Brown grabbed the snap and took off for the end zone.
And then the fun began.
St. Stephens coach Wayne Hicks yelled for Brown to stop at the 1-yard line, therefore denying Bunker Hill the opportunity to get the ball back after a score.
So, Conner did the logical thing: He sent his defense down the field, chasing Brown and finally tackling him into the end zone.
After the PAT, it was 57-49 and Bunker Hill had a shot, albeit a long one.
"You have to give your kids a chance," Conner told MaxPreps.
Sure enough, as time ran out, Bunker Hill scored on a touchdown pass from Cameron Chapman to Dijoun Huitt to make it 57-55.
