The Thunder needed a miracle to get into the top three of the upcoming NBA draft Tuesday night.

It didn't happen.

Oklahoma City had a 0.5 percent chance of landing the No. 1 pick and a 98 percent chance of getting the No. 14 pick, so naturally the numbers were against the Thunder.

It turned out how you thought it would, despite guard Russell Westbrook wearing what he called his lucky shirt.

Oklahoma City will have the No. 14 pick in the draft after the order was revealed Tuesday night in New York City.

"Russell is not banned, but that shirt won't be making another appearance," Presti said to The Oklahoman.

Minnesota got the No. 1 pick, the Lakers got the No. 2 pick and Philadelphia wound up with the No. 3 pick. The Timberwolves entered the draft with the highest percentage to get the top pick. Minnesota had the league's worst record this season.

Oklahoma City general manager told ESPN the Thunder could trade the pick but most likely would wait until the night of the draft to make that decision.

As for players who the Thunder might draft, Presti didn't give away much. "I wouldn't limit ourselves from a positional standpoint," he said.

Meanwhile, Presti spoke about Kevin Durant, who played in just 27 games last season due to foot and ankle problems. Durant is recovering from multiple surgeries on his right foot to repair a Jones Fracture.

"Doing well. Progressing," Presti said of Durant to The Oklahoman. "There's certain benchmarks within the season and offseason. We're not at a weight-bearing stage, but we're definitely moving in the right direction and excited about him being back on the floor toward the end of the summer."
