Three Takeaways from the Blue Jackets 5-3 Loss to Colorado

One: The fore-check and passing was not as aggressive and crisp as they usually are. Colorado played the body and Columbus did not match their intensity for the complete 60 minutes.
Two: Special teams were not so special tonight. The last few games have seen the Blue Jackets special teams not play with the verve that they showed at the beginning of the season. They need to get this back on track.
Three: The three goals that were scored all had one common denominator, and that was having bodies in front of the net. They should know this by now, but it bears repeating. The halfway point of the season is almost here and all of these things need to gel for any kind of sustained run to propel them into the playoffs.
