One: The Blue Jackets came out with a jump in their step and dictated the pace and possession early. They were able to spend a copious amount of time in the Isles zone, while making smart defensive zone plays and frustrating New York.

Two: The Isles woke up for the second period and pushed back, tilting the ice in their favor. The Blue Jackets evened the tilt midway through the period and showed their resiliency in not packing it in for the night.

Three: Between Jack Johnson scoring, Sergei Bobrovsky making some timely saves and the crowd really getting into the game, they were able to find the resolve, with a few bounces their way, and tie the game forcing a spirited overtime stanza. Ultimately, it was Ryan Johansen (who else?) clinching the victory in the shootout. The boy has some moves, eh?
