One: With the playoffs set to begin, the intensity just got ramped up. The hope is that this last game against Florida was the last one where they let up on their intensity. Their second period play was somewhat lackadaisical. It's time to tighten up all aspects of their game.

Two: They were opportunistic, creating turnovers and shooting the puck at net during the first period. Their passing was good and they were not letting Florida gain the zone with alacrity. Their passing got a touch sloppy through the middle stanza and stabilized in the latter stages of the game.

Three: With the win, their first round playoff opponent is set. What happened during the regular season is past. It's a new season and, unlike five years ago, Columbus did not expend all of their energy to get into the dance. Play their game, their way, and there is literally no telling what might happen.
