One: It was a physical game on both sides of the puck, with the Penguins delivering more hits in the first period than Columbus. This was expected. The Blue Jackets weathered the barrage and threw a few of their own. Sidney Crosby was showing a little frustration by the end of the first with the hits he was taking.
Two: It took the Penguins four games to figure out that they almost have to double-team Boone Jenner when he's in the offensive zone. And still, he's able to play through them, at times. He seems to be one of those players that really comes alive in the playoffs. He scored his third goal in 5 playoff games to give Columbus the early 1-0 lead.
Three: Columbus got away from playing "Blue Jackets hockey", as they didn't respond in kind to Pittsburgh upping their own physical play. There were stretches where the Blue Jackets almost seemed like they were a bit gassed, as if they had played the night before. This has to change in Game 6 on Monday in Columbus.
