Three takeaways from Blue Jackets 6-1 loss to Chicago

One: There was a distinct lack of intensity on the part of Columbus. There are enough guys on this roster that have been to the playoffs that this shouldn't happen in the middle of a playoff race.
Two: The Blue Jackets knew they were playing the defending Stanley Cup Champions, but by drifting away from playing "their game", they never had a chance. Losing board battles and not possessing the puck in the offensive zone leads to a loss many times. Last night was a prime example of that.
Three: Conventional wisdom says they need to win two of every three games over the stretch to see the post-season. Since the break, they are 3-2. They play the Predators tomorrow in Nashville. A win keeps them on the pace they need. As had been said, ad nauseam, every game is a playoff game for this club.
