One: Successful teams rise to the occasion. The second night of a back-to-back saw fatigue set-in after the game in Toronto. Although they took their foot off the pedal, Columbus preserved the victory by bowing, but not breaking, under the Stars pressure. That kind of play will get you two points.

Two: Artem Anisimov is currently in "beast" mode. Since coming back from the Olympics in his homeland, he has scored five goals in four games and the game-winning goal in the last three Columbus wins. His tenacity and skill with, and without the puck, have come to the forefront for the stretch run.

Three: When Columbus has a lead, they tend to coast a bit and take their foot off the gas. Such was the case with Dallas, as they let them get back into the game. This needs to change. Especially during this time of the season, they need to go for the jugular. Ask no quarter, take no quarter.
