Thomas makes Virginia Tech history against East Carolina

With a 14-yard pass to Trey Edmunds in the second quarter Saturday against East Carolina, the senior notched his 496th completion, passing Tyrod Taylor for the all-time Hokies record.
With that completion, Logan Thomas (496) breaks the Virginia Tech record for career completions, passing Tyrod Taylor (495). #Hokies

It's likely just the first of Taylor's records that Thomas will break this season as he's within reach of Taylor's total offense (9,213) and passing yards (7,017) marks, entering Saturday with 7,374 and 6,305 yards, respectively, in those categories.
He's also with striking distance of Bryan Randall's record of 48 career TD passes with 39.
