This insane Italian sport combines rugby and MMA and you must watch it
What do you get when you cross rugby and MMA?

Italians seemed to have concocted this hybrid sport and, believe it or not, there is no flopping. The object of Calcio Fiorentino (h/t Deadspin) is to throw a ball in the other team's goal, but obstructing the path is a wall of guys just beating the crap out of each other.
No words really do the video justice, so you're just going to have to watch it. It's also kind of like hockey on dirt with the majority of the players as goons. The uniforms look like they came from the days of the Roman Empire. And we know how popular throwback jerseys are now.
Calcio Fiorentino seems to have everything any red-blooded male could ever want in a sport -- goals, blood and senseless violence. It also sounds like something you'd order with some red wine.
It's only a matter of time before this gets to the United States, right?
