The trailer for Season 6 of Game of Thrones is here, and Jon Snow is still dead

A new trailer for Season 6 of Game Of Thrones arrived on Tuesday, and the first thing in it was the bloodied corpse of the series' most-mourned dead lead character Jon Snow. A familiar voice tells us he's "gone" just before we're catapulted into a montage of heartracing moments stitched together by a really bad "Wicked Games" cover by James Vincent McMorrow.
At one point, Melisandre, known affectionately as Delusional Woman Who Burned A Little Girl At The Stake To Help Spring Get Here Faster, lays her hand on Jon's corpse and looks an awful lot like she's about to bring him back to life. That's one of the conspiracy theories that's persisted since last season's suprise ending, which left us all staring wide-eyed at the rolling credits, mouths agape.
At this point, I would like to remind you of the very first rule of Game of Thrones viewing, which is DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO FEEL HOPE. Of all the haunting images and depraved stuff that's gone on in this show and the characters we've had rudely ripped away from us, hope is by far the worst fiction that George R.R. Martin has ever cursed us with.
Jon Snow is still dead and Game of Thrones returns on April 24.
