Texas senior receiver Jaxon Shipley may sit out Saturday's game against UCLA after suffering a head injury against BYU, Texas announced on Tuesday.

"Jaxon is being evaluated, treated and is currently going through our rigorous return to play protocols," Texas football head athletic trainer Anthony Pass said.

Shipley has 11 catches for 79 yards on the season. Both are second-most on the team. Shipley caught five passes for 36 yards in the 41-7 loss to BYU, and was Texas' leading returning receiver after catching 56 passes for 589 yards and a touchdown in 2013.

Texas' receiving corps may already be without Daje Johnson, a junior speedster who has been suspended for the first two games of the season. Coach Charlie Strong said this week he had not made a decision on whether or not Johnson's suspensions would extend to the season's third game.
