Texas Tech to honor Purple Heart recipients with uniform

Texas Tech will wear special uniforms on Nov. 9 against Kansas State that honor the Lone Survivor Foundation.
The foundation offers support to wounded veterans and their families, and Texas Tech will host 400 Purple Heart recipients for the game. It will be the largest gathering of Purple Heart recipients ever on American soil.
The wings on the helmet and shoulder pads pay tribute to the foundation's logo, and its motto "Never Quit" will be on the back of each player's jersey.
