Texas Tech adds Abilene Christian to future schedules

Abilene Christian and Texas Tech announced Thursday they have agreed to games against each other in the 2024 and 2026 seasons.

The matchups are scheduled for Aug. 31, 2024 and Sept. 5, 2026 at Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock.

The two programs haven't met since 1949. Texas Tech owns a 6-3 series lead.

Abilene Christian, which hired a new coach, Adam Dorrel, after last season, also announced the date of its 2019 game at Mississippi State has been changed from Oct. 12 to Nov. 23.
