Texas quarterback David Ash, who has missed the last two games because of a head injury, has been ruled out of Saturday’s game against TCU.
According to Texas head athletic trainer Kenny Boyd, Ash is making progress in his recovery but still having lingering effects. He was hurt in a win against Kansas State and senior Case McCoy has led the Longhorns to wins over Iowa State and Oklahoma.
Texas (4-2, 3-0 in Big 12) is expected to have both safety Adrian Phillips and linebacker Dalton Santos back for the game in Fort Worth.
