A homecoming king in Texas completed his best pass last Friday and it had nothing to do with the game that saw Max Akin lead Fossil Ridge to a 40-12 victory over Saginaw.

At halftime of the victory, Akin was given his homecoming crown. Rather than keep it, he passed it along to team manager K.L. Norwood, another nominee, who is afflicted with Cerebral Palsy.

"I didn't know when I would have the right time to do it," Akin told WFAA.com. "But I saw K.L., came over and gave him a hug, and I knew that he wanted that crown more than anything."

"My favorite quarterback right here," says team manager K.L. Norwood, slapping his buddy on the shoulder pads.
