AUSTIN, Texas (AP) -- Texas coach Charlie Strong was asked Monday whether he was going to Miami, where Al Golden was fired over the weekend.
Strong laughed and said: "I have the best job in the country. I have to get things done here."
Strong makes more than $5 million a year. He went 6-7 last season in his first season at Texas and his Longhorns (3-4, 2-2 Big 12) have won two straight games.

Strong has recruited the Miami area when he was an assistant at Florida and as head coach at Louisville.
Strong also said: "Each and every week I'm the topic of conversation. Either they are ripping me or saying I lost my team or saying something."
