Texas A&M suspends DL Ennis following arrest

Texas A&M defensive lineman Kirby Ennis has been suspended from all team activities following his arrest Friday night.

Ennis was arrested by the College Station Police Department just before midnight for disorderly conduct discharge/display of a firearm. His bond was set at $2,000 and he was released from jail Saturday morning.

"Texas A&M officials have been made aware of the arrest of football player Kirby Ennis and according to athletics department policy he is immediately suspended from all team activities pending further investigation," the school said in a statement.

Ennis, 21, started 11 games as a junior and totaled 24 tackles and added a sack.
