The Dallas Mavericks have the best road record in the NBA at 10-1, and they don't think it's an accident.

Dirk Nowitzki had 17 points and eight rebounds in Tuesday's 105-99 victory over Orlando, the Mavericks' seventh road win in a row.

"Our core group is all veterans," Jason Terry said. "We take pride in going into other people's gyms and kicking their butt. That's the thing about us. It doesn't matter where we're at."

Terry and Nowitzki are the longest-tenured Mavericks players, and this year has been a great ride so far, even if they haven't been able to catch San Antonio in the Southwest Division.

"They're playing well," Nowitzki said of the Spurs. "Good teams play hard, and you have to give them credit. It almost seems like they changed their philosophy a bit, but for some reason, the Spurs always win. They used to win games, 75-74, and now they win games 110-109, but it's the same thing. They always win."

Terry added: "It's still a fight. But we've positioned ourselves now to go out and have a great season. I think personally we're better than every team in the league. And that's no disrespect to the Spurs or anybody."
