TCU set to play two games against Minnesota

TCU, which already has a Big Ten football series scheduled for 2018 and 2019, has added another opponent from the conference to its football slate.
The Horned Frogs will play a home-and-home series with Minnesota beginning next year.
"We're excited about the opportunity to face a very good Minnesota program that’s coming off a bowl season," TCU football coach Gary Patterson said in a statement. "To schedule someone non-conference from such a prestigious league like the Big Ten helps enhance our recruiting efforts. We've played Big Ten opponents in the past and know it will be a tremendous challenge."
The Gophers will travel to Amon Carter Stadium for a Sept. 13 matchup in 2014 and the Frogs will play in Minnesota in 2015.
This will be just the second matchup between the two teams. Minnesota won a 1974 meeting in Minnesota.
TCU played a Big 10 opponent in its last bowl game, losing to Michigan State in last year’s Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.
