TCU promotes Glasgow, Cross to co-DCs

TCU didn't have to look far to replace longtime defensive coordinator Dick Bumpas, who retired earlier this month.
Safeties coach Chad Glasgow and linebackers coach DeMontie Cross have been promoted to co-defensive coordinators, coach Gary Patterson announced on Wednesday.
Glasgow has been at TCU for 14 seasons, briefly interrupted by a one-year stint as a defensive coordinator at Texas Tech in 2011. He returned to coach the safeties at TCU the following year.
Cross is a third-year assistant on TCU's staff.
Patterson also promoted two staffers to fill Glasgow and Cross' voids on the coaching staff.
Dan Sharp, who is entering his 24th season on staff at TCU, will take over as defensive line coach. He previously worked as the director of player personnel for special teams.
Paul Gonzales will coach cornerbacks for the Horned Frogs after three years as a defensive graduate assistant.
