TCU and LSU will meet Aug. 31 in the season-opening Cowboys Classic. It will mark the fifth game in the Cowboys Classic history and the second involving TCU.
Two years ago TCU beat Oregon State.
This will be the first meeting between the two teams since 1968. LSU leads the overall series 5-2-1. TCU beat LSU 3-2 in the 1936 Sugar Bowl for its first national championship.
