TBT: The Bears and Packers play a lot, just not in the playoffs

The Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers will play for the 192nd time on Thanksgiving, with the Cheeseheads leading the series 93-92-6, including playoffs.

The intriguing part of the Bears vs. Packers series is that for all their history (the first time they played, the Chicago team was actually called the "Staleys") and rabid rivalry, they have played only twice in the postseason.

Some more fun facts about the rivalry:

Both teams have made the playoffs in the same season four only times (1941, 1994, 2001, 2010).

The Packers have won 10 of the last 11 meetings, including playoffs.

From 1994 to 1998, the Packers won 10 in a row, the longest streak by either team in the rivalry.

In 1941, the Bears beat the Packers 33-14 in the NFL playoffs en route to the NFL title.

The Packers got belated revenge in the NFC Championship at the end of the 2010 season. A 21-14 win (capped by a B.J. Raji interception return for a score) may have been the toughest loss for Bears' fans to swallow, considering Chicago had a chance to knock the Packers out of the playoff race in Week 17, but lost 10-3.

Green Bay Packers defensive tackle B.J. Raji returns Caleb Hanie's interception for a touchdown in the NFC Championship game at Soldier Field on Jan. 23, 2011.

The Packers went on to win their fourth Lombardi Trophy.

Ouch.
