Tate done for day with knee injury

PITTSBURGH - Cleveland Browns running back Ben Tate has left Sunday's game at Heinz Field with a knee injury and will not return.

Tate, acquired in March as a free agent, had 6 carries fr 41 yards in the first half before suffering the injury. The Browns declared Tate as out but have given no other details.

The Browns have all rookies behind Tate in the backfield. Terrance West is the second-string running back. Isaiah Crowell scored a touchdown early in the third quarter on his first NFL carry.

Tate played in 15 games as a rookie, 11 in in his second year and 14 last year for the Houston Texans.
