Tale of S'avall, Bawina scratched from Breeders' Cup races

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Tale of S'avall is out of the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, while Bawina has been scratched from the Filly & Mare Turf.
Trainer Barclay Tagg says Tale of S'avall has been having foot problems and veterinarians recommended he not run in Saturday's $2 million race. The 2-year-old colt was a 30-1 shot.
That allows 30-1 shot Siding Spring into the Juvenile, where he will break from post 14 on the far outside.
Ireland-bred Bawina was scratched from the Filly & Mare Turf by trainer Carlos Laffon-Parias. He says the 4-year-old filly experienced muscle damage after exercising Wednesday. She showed improvement after a trot Thursday, but he decided not to run her. She was listed at 15-1 odds.
Bawina's scratch allows European challenger Talmada, a 30-1 shot, into Saturday's $2 million race.
