SWIM: Thunder-Lakers

Looking at a box score is something anyone can do. Who lead my team in scoring? How'd we shoot from the field? And while that knowledge is useful, does it really earn you bonus points around the water cooler?

That's why I'm here. I'm bringing you the S.W.I.M: Statistics Worth Increased Media. Let Joe from accounting regurgitate what he heard on the way in this morning; you're better than that. Use these nuggets to gain a unique perspective about last night's Thunder/Lakers game.

The Thunder scored 33 points in the first quarter and have scored at least 30 points in either the first or second quarter in every game this month.

For the second time in five days, Serge Ibaka produced a double double with multiple steals and multiple blocks against the Lakers: he hadn't recorded a stat like that once since February 6, 2012.

Oklahoma City has won nine in a row and 11 of their last 12 when Ibaka blocks at least five shots and grabs seven rebounds.

Russell Westbrook matched a career-high by scoring 20 points, making a three pointer, and handing out seven assists for the fourth consecutive game.

Kevin Durant blocked the same number of shots against the Lakers as he did in the previous month (three).

That's now nine straight wins, spanning more than two months, when Durant makes at least 11 freebies. Oddly enough, OKC has dropped four of the seven games when KD makes exactly ten FT's.

Andre Roberson has committed at least three personal fouls in nine of his last 11 games with at least eight minutes played. For the season, the rookie is averaging one foul every 5.5 minutes.

The Thunder scored 131 points, their third highest total in the OKC era. That being said, it was the fewest points given up by the Lakers in their four March losses.

For the eighth consecutive game, a team scored 60-plus points in the first half of a Lakers game.

Ryan Kelly is averaging 15.8 points when he plays at least 29 minutes, more than double his season average.

Kent Bazemore has scored 162 points in his 11 game Laker career after scoring 224 points in his 105 appearances with the Warriors. He's already made more three-pointers (21) as a member of the purple and gold than he did in Golden State.

Kendall Marshall ranks in the top ten in 3P%, but only Andre Drummond and DeAndre Jordan are making a lower percentage of free throws (among qualified players).

For the first time in more than three weeks, Marshall recorded more points than assists.
