Looking at a box score is something anyone can do. Who lead my team in scoring? How'd we shoot from the field? And while that knowledge is useful, does it really earn you bonus points around the water cooler? That's why I'm here. I'm bringing you the S.W.I.M: Statistics Worth Increased Media. Let Joe from accounting regurgitate what he heard on the way in this morning; you're better than that. Use these nuggets to gain a unique perspective about last night's Spurs/Magic game.

The Spurs won their eighth straight game in which Tony Parker scored more than 20 points and handed out at least five assists.

Before last night's game, Parker scored at least 30 points in a victory just once this season (50) games. He has done so in each of his last two games played on March 8th.

Tim Duncan made 13 shots on February 5th when the Spurs scored 125 points against the Wizards. San Antonio has eclipsed the 120 point plateau three times since and Duncan has totaled just 11 makes.

Danny Green made four three pointers, the 12th win in which he has made at least three in this year: San Antonio is averaging 114.3 points in those games.

April 6, 2011 was the last regular season game that Manu Ginobili made ten-plus field goals.

The Spurs won their 15th straight game that Kawhi Leonard made at least one triple and three two pointers. Orlando's starting backcourt entered this game averaging six more points than San Antonio's. Parker and Green, however, outscored Jameer Nelson and Arron Afflalo by 16. Instead of being outscored by 23.1percent, they outscored Orlando's duo by 61.5percent.

The Magic had won three straight games in which Tobias Harris recorded at least seven rebounds: that's a long streak for a team that wins less than 30percent of their games.

Kyle O'Quinn notched his fifth straight game with at least one rebound, assist, block, and steal. He had only three such games before this stretch.

Nikola Vucevic continued to play at a high level. The underrated big man is scoring 29 points and grabbing 20.3 rebounds per 48 minutes over his last six games.

Jameer Nelson averages 12.6 points on 44.3 percent shooting from the field for his career. Over the last month, however, the point guard is averaging 7.7 points and converting 34.1percent of his attempts.

Since April of last season, the Magic have lost the only two games in which Maurice Harkless missed at least ten shots and grabbed at least nine rebounds … both have come against the Spurs.
