SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Another spring training, another bee delay at Salt River Fields.
A swarm of bees briefly halted play between the Diamondbacks and Brewers in the second inning of a Cactus League game Sunday for the second time in three seasons.
A similar incident occurred in spring training of 2012, though that delay stopped play for 41 minutes. Sunday's delay was brief, as the game resume after just a few minutes.
It became apparent something was going on when D-backs right fielder Gerardo Parra made his way toward the infield, clearly uninterested in getting to know the buzzing creatures sharing his corner of the field.

Play resumed, but between innings, the D-backs' bullpen in left field emptied in a hurry when the bees took up residence there, swarming the fence so much that it looked a bit like a fuzzy TV.
Play continued without interruption, but Salt River Fields seems to be giving new meaning to the "B games" played during spring training.
