An autopsy into the death of three-time world surfing champion Andy Irons found the Hawaiian succumbed to a combination of a heart attack and drugs in his system, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

Irons, 32, was found dead in a Dallas hotel room on November 2. He was there during a layover on his way home from a tournament in the Caribbean.

The autopsy lists the primary cause of death as a heart attack related to coronary heart disease, with the secondary reason an "acute mixed drug ingestion."

The autopsy report, prepared by the Tarrant County (Texas) Medical Examiner's office, was provided to The Times by the publicist for Irons' family and will not be made public until June 20.
