Suns snag Bogdanovic from Serbia at No. 27

PHOENIX -- The Suns completed their trio of first-round picks in Thursday's NBA Draft by taking Serbian shooting guard Bogdan Bogdanovic, a likely international stash candidate, with the 27th overall pick.
Bogdanovic, 21, attended the NBA Draft in New York and donned a Suns hat after commissioner Adam Silver called his name, but it's believed the chances are high he will remain with Partizan in Belgrade, Serbia, for at least next season.
The Suns used their Nos. 14 and 18 picks instead of trading any of their selections, it makes sense they would wait to try and buy Bogdanovic, 6-foot-6 and 205 pounds, out of his contract in Serbia rather than add three guaranteed rookie contracts this offseason.
Bogdanovic, who declared for the draft last year before withdrawing his name, averaged 15 points and four rebounds per game in 24 Adriatic League games in 2013-14. In the high-level Euroleague, he averaged 14.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game this past season.
