PHOENIX – Guard Shaquille Harrison will be sticking around with the Phoenix Suns for a while longer. The Suns announced Tuesday that they have signed Harrison, who had been playing on the second of two 10-day contracts, to a multi-year deal.
"It's a marvelous day," Harrison said after the team's shoot around ahead of Tuesday night's game against the visiting Cavaliers. "Probably the best day of my life, honestly."
Harrison has appeared in nine games with the Suns, averaging 4.2 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals in 13.4 minutes. Making his first career start in Saturday’s game at Charlotte, Harrison scored a career-high 14 points in addition to recording four assists and two steals in 21 minutes. Harrison recorded four steals in two of his first four games with the Suns – a feat accomplished only once before in franchise history, by Alvan Adams.
Harrison, 6-feet-4 and 190 pounds, went undrafted out of Tulsa in 2016 and has played 84 games with the NAZ Suns in the NBA G League over the past two seasons.
