Arizona State finished No. 21 in the season-ending Associated Press college football poll following its loss to Texas Tech in the Holiday Bowl.

The Sun Devils were one of six Pac-12 teams in the Top 25.

Undefeated Florida State was the unanimous choice as the nation's No. 1 team following its dramatic victory over Auburn in Monday night's BCS championship game at the Rose Bowl, ending a seven-year streak for Southeastern Conference teams.

Florida State's third AP national title (1993 and '99) ties it for ninth-most with rival Florida and Texas.

From the Pac-12, conference champion Stanford was No. 11, UCLA was 16th, USC 19th, ASU 21st and Washington 25th.
