MOUNT MAUNGANUI, New Zealand (AP) Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl on Tuesday in the fifth and final one-day cricket international against New Zealand.

Fast bowler Trent Boult returns to the New Zealand lineup after being rested through the first four matches of the series, replacing Mitchell McClenaghan. Kane Williamson will again lead the New Zealand team in the absence of Brendon McCullum who has a back injury while paceman Tim Southee was ruled out with a foot injury.

Seamer Nuwan Pradeep returns to the Sri Lanka lineup in place of leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay as the tourists look to exploit a hard, fast pitch at Bay Oval.

New Zealand leads the series 2-1.
