Sri Lanka names 4 uncapped players for Australia tests

COLOMBO, Sri Lanka (AP) Sri Lanka has named four uncapped players in a 15-member squad for the three-match test series against Australia starting next week.
Asitha Fernando, an 18-year-old fast bowler who has played just two first-class games, left-arm bowler Lakshan Sandakan, fast bowler Vishwa Fernando and prolific first-class batsman Roshen Silva were named by the selectors in the squad Thursday.
Lahiru Thirimanne, who was injured during the recent series against England, and Milinda Siriwardene, who was also part of that tour, are left out.
The squad has eight specialist batsmen, four fast bowlers and three spinners.

The first test begins in Pallekele next Tuesday.
