The NCAA released Academic Progress Rate scores Tuesday and the University of Oklahoma remained in good academic standing.

The APR scale is a measure of student-athlete academic progress. Every team at OU scored arned a multi-year above the minimum 930 after the 2011-12 academic year.

In order to compete in the postseason for this upcoming sports year, teams must have a 900 multi-year APR or a 930 average over the past two seasons, according to the NCAA.

“These numbers simply confirm the tremendous commitment that our student-athletes at the University of Oklahoma have made to achieve success in the classroom,” said athletic director Joe Castiglione on the website Soonersports.com. “Under the leadership of President David L. Boren, the University of Oklahoma has earned a well-deserved national reputation for academic excellence. Our student-athletes, coaches and support staff have worked very hard to uphold that standard.”

In 2011-12, OU had 10 programs with a perfect APR score. This is the fourth year in a row that OU has finished in good academic standing with the NCAA.
