Sunday night, the University of Oklahoma was rocked by a viral video that appeared to show members of fraternity SAE chanting racial slurs.
University President David Boren and leaders have already denounced the video, but it may already be having an impact on the football team.
While Delance doesn't say exactly what caused him to decommitted from the Sooners, it has been suggested the racial video was the tipping point.
#Scout150 OL @JeanDelance74 was clearly disturbed by the racist frat video from #OU last night, no longer committed to #Sooners

Of course, that's just speculation. Coach Bob Stoops was out with team members protesting the video on campus Monday and took to Twitter to denounce the hateful speech.
Pleased to see @President_Boren take swift action against racism & punishing bigots. I join our campus in fighting racism everywhere.

Rising senior defensive end Charles Tapper wanted to make clear that Norman was a welcoming environment for all of it's athletes.
While redshirt sophomore wide receiver Jordan Smallwood took to Instagram.
This situation could just be an issue of timing. According to a Bleacher Report article, Delance, a native of Texas, was happy when the Longhorns came calling.

"I can't even explain it," he said at the time. "I'm trying not to take everything head-on right now. I just want to make sure that I'm making the right choice for me."
