Sooners move up in latest coaches' poll

Oklahoma beat Akron 41-3 and moved up two spots to No. 17 in the newest coaches poll which was released Tuesday.

Texas A&M made the biggest jump, up eight spots to No. 19 after beating Arizona State in Houston on Saturday.

Ohio State won easily Monday night at Virginia Tech and remained No. 1 followed by Alabama, TCU and Baylor. TCU dropped a spot despite opening with a win on the road at Minnesota.

Oklahoma plays at Tennessee on Saturday. The Vols moved up two spots to No. 23 after beating Bowling Green.
