Sneak peek at Arizona's new uniforms

While it's been known
for some time that Arizona would be debuting new football uniforms
for the 2013 season, details of the new duds have been nonexistent.
Until this week, that is, as the Arizona athletic department published a
teaser video on its YouTube page Wednesday showing a sneak peek at
the overhauled unis.
The angles and
lighting are, of course, designed to provide an overview without giving
away everything, but a few aspects are noticeable, specifically some
sort of red-and-blue transitional coloring on the sleeves (the entire
sleeve rather than just a stripe) and possibly a different, italic-esque
font for the numbers.
The helmets do not appear to
have changed, although one particular shot that clearly features a white
jersey shows an ambiguously colored helmet that may be copper, as was
worn by UA for last year's game against Oregon State. It's unclear if
there is any additional copper integration into the uniforms, but with
Nike as the designer ... well, anything seems
possible.
More details should be forthcoming soon, as
athletic director Greg Byrne said the following in his "Wildcat
Wednesday" newsletter that coincided with the release of the
video:
"We have received a lot of questions about
when we were going to release the new football uniforms. I'm happy to
say the wait is just about over. We will release pictures and videos of
the new uniforms very soon via social media and on
ArizonaWildcats.com."
