Sessions, Hill thrilled to join Lakers

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- If Ramon Sessions feels any pressure about following five-time NBA champion Derek Fisher with the Los Angeles Lakers, the new point guard sure didn't acknowledge it in his first few hours at Staples Center.
Sessions and Jordan Hill formally joined the Lakers on Friday night after the club acquired them in trades with Cleveland and Houston a day earlier. They're both cleared to play against Minnesota.
Los Angeles traded away a quarter of the roster of the team with the NBA's sixth-best record largely to improve its play at point guard, where Fisher has started every game for the past five seasons.
Sessions says it's a dream come true to join a franchise with the Lakers' history, but he doesn't believe he's here to replace Fisher, Kobe Bryant's longtime teammate.
