SEC QBs: Tyler Wilson tops rankings

By James Carr and Zach Dillard
In 2010, Ryan Mallet took Arkansas to soaring heights as he masterfully commanded a high-tempo offense before departing for the NFL. A year later, optimism and expectation were equally high in Fayetteville, but there was one big question: Would Tyler Wilson be able to handle the burden of running the Hogs’ offense?
Wilson answered with a resounding “yes” last season, tying a school record with 11 wins while becoming the first Razorbacks QB to be named first-team All-SEC .
Today, the only question surrounding Wilson’s ability is how far can he take Arkansas this year. Wilson has the best arm and offense in the SEC. He’s already being pinned as the NFL’s top quarterback for 2013. The Razorback offense will hum with greater efficiency with the 2010 SEC leading rusher Knile Davis returning from a knee injury.
If there’s an arm to overcome the vaunted defenses that await on Arkansas’ schedule, it’s Tyler Wilson’s Heisman-capable rifle.
